Two floors of pleasant and happy items,
though I did not see the fortune-telling
Hello Kitty booth when I was there last.
I did see
some Hello Kitty pillowcases
a pencil sharpener with batteries labeled CREATIVE POWER
a crystal (plastic) light-up Kitty keychain
a Rururugakuen telephone number
notebook with perforated parts
to tear off to give out
your own number
a transparent Kitty watch protector
Pochacco and Keroppi and other pager cases
Pochacco drinking straws
and chopsticks and bento boxes
and Holly's Bear (stuffed)
and a few other things

 One would think
with South San Francisco
being the US Sanrio HQ
and with the flagship store
being in San Francisco,
that one might see
Hello Kitty
in person
once in a while.
Here her earthly
incarnation attracts
tiny children at a
festival in SF's Japantown.

In the upper left, you can see the
edge of the 2nd floor
of Sanrio paraphernalia.

 The Sanrio store is at
39 Stockton Street
a couple of blocks
from Union Square
across the street
from Planet Hollywood
which is down the block
from FAO Schwarz
and so forth.
